Photodynamic Therapy

Molteni Therapeutics, spin-off of Molteni Farmaceutici, is a company established by a research team dedicated to the development of innovative medical devices based on Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). Originally employed for the treatment of cancer, these last years this therapy has also been employed in the treatment of non-malignant diseases: from ophthalmic and cardiovascular diseases to infectious diseases. Thanks to a multi-year survey in the field of PDT, the research team developed a technique to treat successfully ulcers and injuries, while paying attention to the patient’s unmet medical needs.
